Although the software is now stable and no longer causes crashes there are too many other issues that I am uncomfortable with.

To assist in improvement here are some of the items that I have found, there are some others that have been mentioned elsewhere.

1. The function of adding a QSO with the correct start and end times has been changed which makes the operation less useable.
2. Removal of lookup and field completion from existing QSO's I find very frustrating.
3. The DM780 macros now do not function correctly in some instances which would require me to search and edit my existing macros.
4. Problems with SSTV and a bug in the SSTV FTP upload
5. Date selection for LOTW has been altered to a very tiresome method.
6. There are still some minor issues with the main HRD control panel favourites manager
7. Problems with ITU & CQ zones still persist
8. Issues with logbook audio recorder

I can't be bothered listing any more problems and shall wait to see if more fixes are carried out to the free version or if these problems will only be resolved for the paying customers in Version 6.0

BTW using Windows uninstall does not remove the Visual Sudio 2010 files nor does it remove all of the registry entries, these need to be removed manually. Additionally The HRD-BRU utility from Chris will not uninstall 5.22.02

The rx is great, decodes good. But when I try to transmit, it sends a short signal and then stops.
The water fall freezes and the program stops responding.
If I restart the program it will come back, but freezes again on transmit.
Any suggestions? it was working great. before upgrade.

After recovery from the computer issue and reinstalling HRD I now get error messages when attempting to upload QSO's to LoTW. The are two dialogue boxes that pop up. The first one is a TQSL error "Name Not Found" when I close that box a second opens reading "Failed to sign the ADIF with TQSL, see logfile for more info". I got my certificate reissued by LoTW but still not working.
Any help would be much appreiciated.

My problem is that I can't edit macros in DM780. After I changed the text in for instance the default macros for PSK in Macros Manager and click OK to make the changes effective, nothing happens, i.e. I still have the default macros. I use Windows XP. This happens only on one PC, strangely enough, which runs HRD 5.21. I have tried two other PC's, one with Windows 7 an the other with XP both with HRD version 5.11 and on these there is no problem. On the subject PC I uninstalled HRD and reinstalled it, to no avail. I decided to uninstall HRD with Revo uninstaller to remove all traces of HRD and then reinstall HRD, same result.
Has anyone any idea apart from going back to version 5.11?

I had been keeping this date set about a week back and would periodically update it. I create a separate logbook for a contest. When I have checked and submitted that logbook, I export it as "ADIF with HRD extensions" and re-import the ADIF file into my master logbook for completeness.

Serial Numbers present in the contest logbook are not imported into Sent Exch and Recv Exch columns of the master log book. I have not checked if they go elsewhere.

[I am aware that Exchange handling changed between V4 Log books and V5 logbooks and that there are both numeric and text versions of ADIF exchange fields so they may have gone to the other sort of field].
