Lightbulb How to get a new Upload Code

If you have lost or if you want a new Upload Code follow these steps:

    1. Login
    2. Select "Modify profile" in the menu
    3. select the tab "Profile"
    4. Check the box "Send me a new code"
    5. Verify your e-mail address (your code will be send via e-mail)
    6. Press "Send"
    7. Check your e-mail; if you don't receive the e-mail your check your spam/junk folder; some times it's necessary to insert info@hrdlog.net in your safe address list

Hi i have followed your guide to getting a new code sent to my email address thats registered with HRDLOG.NET but nothing arrives in my inbox? I am using Outlook express and there is no junk mail? Please can you advise.
I did have the code when registering but due to having to format and reinstall i lost the code? :(

    Thanks Andy

The only way to get it is to follow Claudio (IW1QLH)'s procedure. Per my followup Posts, it has to be an automated system. As stated in my followups, I got the code(s) in less than a minute, so I'm now suspecting an email address problem, or a spam folder issue.

    guess I will wait ?
this is third time I have tried to use this

I just looked at the HRDLog.net main web page and there's a Contact Us link towards the bottom right, under the Donate button. From your Posts, I don't know if you've tried that, but maybe it's worth a try? Just FYI, it took a while to come up after I clicked on the button.

Question Re: How to get a new Upload Code

Welll, I just tried it, using the resend my code option, and it took less than a minute before it showed up in my mailbox. Has to be automated, then, and not Human Involved. I pretty much suspected that, but wasn't real sure. I even had to have it send me my HRDLog.net login password, as I didn't have a clue what it is since I really don't use HRDLog.net. That also took less than a minute.

All I can think of is that it doesn't like your email address, or the address isn't correct on HRDLog.net. It does show you the email address, and I assume you've verified it's the right address? Also, as the procedure suggests, you've checked your Spam Folder?

I really have no idea as to what's going on here.

    ***Update***

Ditto for having it send me a new code, less than a minute to show up in my mailbox.

Exclamation Re: How to get a new Upload Code

Brian (N2MLP; I looked you up on QRZ.com to get your name),

I think I may have hit on what really may be happenning. Being an Admin, and thus edowed w/powers far beyond those of mere mortal users, I looked at your Forum UserId Profile (only Admins can do this), which among other things, contains your email address. Rest assured, I would never publicly divulge any info I found in your profile, as that would be a breach of trust and a violation of your privacy, not to mention a big-time NO-NO in the Admin world.

Googling on your email (ISP) provider as to how they handle Spam , it appears they will filter out (Block) any incoming emails they think may be spam or contain viri or other malware, etc. Soooo...they may be blocking the emails from Claudio before they even get to your mailbox, even tho you don't want them blocked (this is known as the Big Daddy Knows Best policy). So, you may want to contact your ISP and let them know that you don't want these emails blocked, if indeed they are being blocked.

Back in a mo w/the email address.

Ok, it's info at hrdlog dot net. Substitute the actual punctuation for the words, as I did it this way to hopefully keep those accursed spam 'bots from glomming on to the real address.

However it turns out, please let us know if was or was not Big-Daddy ISP's anti-spam policy.

Oh yes, one other thing: even tho you, or someone else, might receive the intial emails from Claudio, they might be blocked at some point after that, making it even more difficult to understand why they suddenly stop coming. Nice, Huh? argh_mad

    ***Update***

I just noticed someone had Closed the Thread to keep others from Posting (as an Admin I'm immune to that little annoyance), so I opened it again for Posting. When I find who did that...Uh-Oh...lookout.
