That's okay--forget it--I'll either fix it myself or use something else-tnxs-am reformatting a laptop as we speak--that will settle whether I have a virus or not-panders
I got a friend with a similar problem (same error).
Don't know why (maybe a windows update...) but the problem was something with database definitions in hrd logbook and odbc manager.
Easy fixed : just recreate the definitions in hrd log and point odbc manager to the right .mdb file.
Good luck.

I just downloaded and installed 5.24.0.36 and I still get the "unspecified error" notice upon starting Logbook. After that error message goes away, everything appears to be as before.
OK, here it is 8-25-2012, and I last posted a question about the unspecified error a couple of weeks ago. I have shut down my computer (rebooted AND Powered Off) several times, closed the logbook and HRD several times, and still get the same Unspecified Error message every time I open the logbook.
I have an HP Desktop running XP SP3, HRD 5.24.0.36, and a Yaesu FT-857D, (not that I think the radio would matter).
Any solutions to this annoying, but apparently unharmful error message?
