Default Trying to control powersdr and my rig...

    Hello.

I have the following setup that I am trying to get working. I have a softrock RX ensemble II that I control with PowerSDR, and an Icom 746 that I have been running with HRD. What I want to do, is RX with the Softrock, and TX with the Icom. I have a T/R switch and all that, but, I want to have HRD control both, thatway, the rig follows powerSDR when I'm tuning around and / or changing modes.

    Thanks,
    Randy

I use Simon's SDR-Radio software to control my SDR-IQ, my Pro 3 and the HRD logbook. It requires a virtual port and works nicely.

    I believe SDR-Radio supports the Soft-Rock SDR.

Moved to the Flex-Radio SDR & other DSP-related items Forum, as that would seem to be a somewhat more relevant Forum (general SDR stuff as well as the Flex radio).

How so? my question is about getting HRD to control two things at once...

Suggest that you contact the new owners, W4PC or WA9PIE for what you need.

In the SDR-Radio program from Simon goto Program Options/serial ports and see help text - Basically you use a VSP Pair to connect HRD to the SDR software which is running your softrock (You will find SDR in the HRD connect screen)

Then in SDR-Radio Program Options/External Radio set up your physical radio connection using the real Com port that its connected to

Now everything synchronizes and when you TX the SDR radio is muted and an attenuator is introduced.

Alternatively see the page about using DXLabs suite and SDR-Radio at http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/SDRInteroperation

Also HDSDR has integration for external radios but no provision for logbook integration

BTW there will be a stand alone SDR program from Simon to run the Softrock ensemble with TX coming soon

I love my SDR-IP and SDR-IQ just wish they had a TX facility

    Terry
