Have you checked the Rigblaster option in program options?

    Thanks G4POP for your response
I work with HRD Version 5.11 build 3209, windows XP Professionnal with SP3, and I don't find
any Rigblaster option in program options.
The RigExpert Tiny Interface creates 2 virtual COM ports and When I try to connect, I put 'AUTODECTECT' fot COM port Detection and speed.
The configuration programm says 'FT897 ,COM6, 4800, access denied'
I try many other configurations for the COM ports, but nothing is correct
Please excuse me for my poor english,
    F1EVV

    See the Post at http://forums.hrdsoftwarellc.com/showthread.php?22571-Rigblaster-support

Note: altho it may seem to only apply to Icoms, it applies to all rigs.

BTW, as has been Posted probably 10,000 times before: Do NOT use AutoDetect for speed or comport, it does not work well. Use the actual speed set in the rig, and the actual comport you're connected to.

    Hello W8BFG,
Thanks for your response : I read the thead and i try to apply, but no result !!!!
My RIG Expert Tiny is an USB interface , it creates 2 virtual COM ports, COM5 witch is used for CAT and COM6 witch is used for PTT/CW.
These 2 ports are configured as this : 8 bits (DATAS) 0 bit (PARITY) 2 bits (STOP) as notified in user manual of FT 897D.
    I try 34800, 9600, and 4800 for SPEED
For connecting the FT897 I use,
    new connection,
    Company : Yaesu
    Radio ; FT-897,
    COM Port : COM 5
Speed : Same SPEED as in port configuration, and the result is FAiled to read frequency.

    Thanks for your Help,

Dependant upon where you connect the rigblaster to the rig you must change menu settings on the rig!

If using the rear socket for CAT you must change menu 20 to CAT

If you are using the microphone socket for CAT then you must change menu 59 to CAT

Try changing the stop bits to 1 (one)

Does the Rigblaster work with any other software like DXLabs commander, Logger 32 etc?

Have you tried a hard factory reset of the 897?

Has the 897 ever been computer controlled before?

Have you tried any other cat cable with the 897?

If it works with the CT62 cable then it's a Rigblaster related problem, I suggest you contact them for help or try the Rigblaster Yahoo forum
