  • Azimuth display backwards

Anyone notice a problem with this azimuth display? Has been reported many times, and for a long time. Surely it can't be that hard to fix. I have a South stopping rotator, and I'm in the southern hemisphere. Renders Rotator totally useless.

Yup. Noticed along time ago. Like version 5.11. Set the rotor to North Stop. One day I'll convince them to swap the North/South stop labels in the GUI and everything will be fine. It's cosmetic so it's really not a priority.

You can't just set it to North Stop, the rotator is physically south stop. If it doesn't matter, why have the setting? It's hardly cosmetic. It's academic anyway because I've changed to software that is much better for satellite use (SatPC32).

I have a similar problem with a Yaesu G-800DXA connected directly to my FTDX3000 radio. Its 180 degrees out, or as you say 'backwards' reading. I too think it must be a straightforward software fix that is needed. Its almost a correctly working app, just needs the finishing touches to correct the error and it will work as it should!

And the rotor knows when to stop. It is cosmetic. Give it a try if you don't believe me. I've only been doing it that way since 2010.
